Hello! My name is Sudachan and I am nine years old. In February, my mom, auntie and I flew to Laos for the very first time and we met up with our Give Children A Choice friends. It was my very first expedition walking on the footsteps of my great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather and Auguste Pavie. My girl scout training helped me through the tough terrain of Laos. My Give Children A Choice friends and I trekked into one of the most remote places in Laos. Our guide took us to Luang Phrabang and Give Children A Choice’s mission was to hand over three preschool construction projects to Ban Nanan, Ban Nongphou and Ban Korkvane in Luang Prabang Province. Let’s go....
By boat, we didn’t want to get wet, but the locals certainly didn’t mind the water. Looked, it’s only shin’s deep.
By car, we climbed the long and winding infamous Route 13. The high altitude of northern Laos can be bitterly cold, relatively speaking.
By foot, we trekked the dirt road and enjoyed Laos natural beauty and there’s the school!
The villagers were all curious.
And gift giving from both sides.
Dori Shimoda, Founder and President of Give Children A Choice signed and handed over the schools to Ban Nanan, Ban Nongphou and Ban Korkvane.
I was taller.
Yud! Who’s this?
Hello Grrrrrrreat Grandfather!
Exhausted. Good night!
